“The statue was originally a commission for Geefs’ younger brother Joseph, who completed it in 1842 and installed it the following year. It generated controversy at once and was criticized for not representing a Christian ideal.The cathedral administration declared that “this devil is too sublime.” The local press intimated that the work was distracting the “pretty penitent girls” who should have been listening to the sermons.” [x]

you can tell from her eyes how offended she is and yet she gives such an incredibly eloquent response. shakira is an angel sent by god himself. bless her.

she is literally a genius, takes college classes for fun, knows five languages fluently, made a non-profit as a young woman that helps poor children in Colombia many  afro-colombian, can play four instruments, and she is literally an angel who has a pure heart like thank u for being born like i can go on and on

But I thought she supported Mohammad Assaf when he wasn’t allowed to sing in the Brazil World Cup??
